Study on the Repair and Remodelling of Cerebral Nerve in Children with Cerebral Palsy by Acupuncture

Ramya Radhakrishnan

Objective: to find out how acupuncture affects motor development and brain plasticity in children with cerebral palsy. In young rats with cerebral palsy, investigate the effect on the mechanism of apoptosis of brain nerve cells, the regulation of the expression of neurotrophic factors, the promotion of the remodeling of nerve synaptic structure, and motor development. Two: To assess the impact and system of needle therapy on cerebral paralysis. Three: Acupuncture's effect on nerve repair in cerebral palsy.

Methods: 1078 cases of cerebral palsy and 146 cases of brain injury were included in this randomized controlled study using the ICF Gross motor function measure; Gesell, muscle tension, joint activity, and Activity of Daily Living; GMFM, Peabody's fine motor function, ADL, transcranial Doppler, TCD, skull B ultrasound, Brain Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging MRI, Positron Emission Tomography SPECT, and the Diffusion Tensor Tractography (DTI) method of evaluation are all used to assess the brain.

Results: Transcranial Doppler, TCD total efficiency (79.3%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (51.8%), and the recovery rate of extracellular space was significantly higher than that of the control group (70.8%) (P 0.05). Acupuncture effectively reduces neurological sequelae by promoting neurological and cognitive movement development in infants younger than six months.

Conclusion: In children with cerebral palsy, acupuncture rehabilitation not only promotes the development of the white matter and gray matter, but it also promotes the remodeling and compensation of brain function, social adaptation, language and other cognitive function development, movement and recovery of fine motor function, and the children's ability to take care of themselves.
